PFC Vitamin program in La Estanzuela, Honduras |

The vitamin program at La Estanzuela is right on schedule and running very smoothly. We were out there this past Sunday before church to distribute this months supply. We bring the vitamins into the village on Sundays, because in this way we can gather all of the children and their families together at the same time. |
| Santos,the village leader who has been working with us, has been extremely efficient in arranging things on their end and seeing to it that only the children in the program are receiving the vitamins.This month we took with us several other volunteers, one a teacher from the Mayatan Bilingual School here in Copan and the other a local businesswoman. They were quite amazed at the level of success of what is being accomplished in this small village. |

| When this program was initially set up, I was in La Estanzuela. I had been there before for medical consultations, and the sight of these sick and malnourished children always tore at my heart. But when I returned last month, and again this month, the improvements I saw in the children were nothing short of astounding. |

| Where once the kids sat quietly, with dull eyes and quiet voices, they were now running and laughing and climbing trees. They hound and pick and pester us when we arrive, just like children should. When we talk to them about their health, the children and parents both tell us that there has been much less illness with those participating in this program. |  |
