So, you want to volunteer for Paramedics For Children? |
![]() |
If you do then get ready for one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. The most common question we hear is what kind of skills do I have to have to become a volunteer with Paramedics For Children? Yes, having medical skills can be helpful but more then that we need your help in getting the donated supplies and services that we provide to our children. That takes less skill and more attitude then any thing else. Volunteering means something different for everybody. Some people just want to make the trip to see first hand where their donations are going, while others tend to become more involved. It's a different calling of the heart for each of us. |
| We utilize two types of volunteers. The first type is the medical professional such
as a doctor, paramedics, or a nurse. These types of medical professionals work in our medical clinic called Clinica
La Esperanza ( Clinic Of Hope). Volunteering in this capacity is a lot more detailed and demanding. The second type of volunteer is the person who does not have any medical skills, but wants to get involved in our school supply,or vitamin, and children's care programs. For this type of volunteerism all you need is a big heart and a willingness to work. This type of volunteeris usually either a long term supporters of PFC, students, or people looking for a social aspect to their vacation. |

| Our most popular volunteer trip is the PFC school
supply program. This is an ongoing program that was started in 1997 and continues today. We make four trips
per year to bring school supplies to 1,600 children in 22 mountain schools in the high mountains near Copàn
Ruinas. In 2006 we started organizing school supply trips involving volunteers. If you would like to go a school supply mission click here. Questions? Mail us. click here |
